Edward J. Curtis, Jr.

Edward J. Curtis, Jr., is an attorney who retired from the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York after more than twenty-five years of service. In the course of his work in that office, Mr. Curtis defended the constitutionality of several New York Statutes concerning psychiatric treatment, including Kendra’s Law for Assisted Outpatient Treatment, Governor Pataki’s Sexually Violent Predator initiative, and the Sex Offender Management and the Treatment Act.
